Love is the greatest power of all! Muggles get Married......

We solemnly swear that we are…totally transfixed by this magical Harry Potter Content Day. As Harry Potter fans, we began brewing up the most bewitching details with the help of so many amazing vendors. Everyone that was a part of this special day couldn’t deny the unfolding magic of the final details. We have been obsessed with this whole day from the second we saw the first photo. We are so thrilled to share the story behind the planning of this shoot.

Expecto Patronum! With a little design magic, many amazing vendors and Anastasia’s collection of Harry Potter items we brought Harry Potter to life. The shoot design began when we connected with a florist from New York who creates amazing wood florals. We all had been dying to do a fun and different themed styled shoot and we all are Harry Potter fans so it was the perfect pathway. The ideas started swirling around and with the wave of many wands our day was coming to life.

Kayla and Annie knew that location was paramount, so they looked to The Farm at Worthley Pond :

We needed a venue that resembled Hogwarts with a dark and magical vibe, but would also provide a romantic space for a high end wedding. The Farm, located right on a pond in Maine, was the best of both worlds: a renovated barn with dark stained wood coupled with the same low lighting just like at Hogwarts paired with 5 acres of outdoor space that included a magical forest and waterfront. We found the ideal backdrop and now it was time to transform The Farm.

Every Harry Potter fan has dreamed of receiving that Hogwarts acceptance letter in the mail. Imagine having all your wedding guests have this come true? We had amazing stationary that was the perfect blend of the Harry Potter theme and a fancy wedding invite all in one. The stationary set even had beautiful waxed seals.

We got our creative juices flowing and began to incorporate all the decor together. Harry Potters specs were on the detail table, vintage suitcases, multiple wands, the sorting hat, Mainely Events provided a long farm table with Hogwarts in mind with their long feasting tables, luxe gold plates and silverware, magic roller bottles, goblets on the table, an amazing bar cart set up by Nightcap Bar Co, gorgeous black flowered cake, stunning jewelry, AND with the help from Mainely Events and Geek Chic Florals we made the wedding arch the Deathly Hallows.

Geek Chic Florals creations balanced the dark undertones yet hopeful themes of the series with an assortment of deep + light blooms. She even added the Iconic golden snitch in one of the bouquets along with creating a round circle floral arrangement for the deathly hallows arch. The florals were absolutely breathtaking.

Everything is Harry Potter-esque so it is obvious models would incorporate certain elements in their outfits as well. One of the solo brides had a washable tattoo of Hogwarts designed on her back by the fabulous make up artist Amanda Hope Make up, the other solo bride highlighted an amazing handmade calligraphy “Always” leather jacket and another one of our brides wore a black wedding gown that was show stopping.

We ended this amazing day exploring the magical forest surrounding the property and the bride and groom hopped in the canoe for some beautiful pictures in the water.

We hope this turns to be helpful for anyone who is looking to create a themed wedding or who is trying to tie in a romantic and magical Harry Potter themed wedding. Harry Potter will always be ‘The Boy Who Lived’ forever within us. Always.
